The Eastwood Movement Method -
Balance Holidays welcomes Monique Eastwood as the leading expert on this programme. Binding her vast background in dance, fitness, pilates and multi-decades of experience working with a wide spectrum of body types. Reset your relationship with exercise and liberate your body in dynamic, multi-directional sequences of HIIT, Pilates Flow, Cliffside Swim and more. Full-body exercises that will be broken into snack-size bites and focused on core, posture, form and activating key muscle groups and joints. Each activity with Monique will be high energy, encouraging you to comfortably push through personal boundaries to heighten awareness and realign body and mind.

Workshops With a Qualified Doctor and Women’s Hormonal Health Specialist -
Led by guest expert, Dr Katie Armstrong, informative workshops will encourage transparent dialogue and advance the conversation on female hormonal health, perimenopause and menopause. An assortment of topics from symptoms and the role of female hormones, to long-term impacts of menopause on physical, emotional and mental health, how to approach the conversation with your GP/Doctor and more, will be covered, followed by a Q&A. Sessions to support you in taking back control of your hormones and feel comfortable in your own body throughout perimenopause and beyond.

Complementing Monique’s ethos to wellbeing, health and keeping movement up. Meals across the retreat will be kept simple and follow a 95% healthy and 5% unrestricted principle. From carbohydrate-rich composition breakfasts to provide the essential foundation to start the day and support you throughout it. To adequate portions of protein and seasonal vegetables sourced locally for lunch and dinner. Delightful, light and vibrant-flavoured dishes from a specially designed menu by Balance Holidays will create an intriguing and authentic taste of nature without compromising the essential daily intake of nutrients.

Championing farm-to-table meals from a menu specially designed by Balance Holidays. Dishes each day will be gluten, dairy and refined-sugar free, and a direct result of inspiration from the surrounding natural landscape. Consisting of seasonal fruits and vegetables picked from the resort’s own vegetable organic patch and small portions of protein. Paired with the resort chefs’ esteemed skills, listen to your body and be encouraged to practise a healthy eating routine through the careful composition of each meal. *Please notify us of any dietary restrictions, allergies and intolerances you may have. THE EXPERTS Monique Eastwood - A woman in her 50s who has experienced menopause first-hand and referred to as the woman behind the bodies of Stanley Tucci, Emily Blunt, Hayley Atwell, Ruth Wilson and more. Monique Easwood is a celebrity personal trainer, lifestyle coach, trained ballerina, professional dancer, qualified Stott Pilates instructor for over 25 years and founder of The Eastwood Movement Method. Which draws inspiration from the key principles of Pilates and dance-inspired movement and highlights her wellbeing ethos: the importance of everyday movement. Monique also has a client base spanning decades, all ages and abilities, affording her a wealth of knowledge and understanding of how bodies move and react to movement. Thereafter developing into a unique skill of reading individuals and what their bodies need from just one session.
Dr Katie Armstrong - Dr Katie Armstrong is a qualified doctor of over 20 years, specialising in menopause and women’s health. Just as importantly, she is a woman in her late 40s and a working mum, affording her a personal understanding on how hormones impact everyday life. Having trained under Dr Louise Newson, British Menopause Society and Royal College of Obsetrics and Gynaecology, Katie aims to improve women’s access to safe, evidence-based information and treatments to feel happy and healthy throughout their reproductive life, menopause and beyond.
